Job summary

The Richmond Group USA is seeking a Corporate Project Engineer to own capital projects from concept and design through installation and startup. This role emphasizes hands-on, plant-floor engineering and requires collaboration with operations, controls, electrical, CAD/design, construction teams, contractors, and equipment vendors.

You will support more than 50 facilities nationwide, leading projects ranging from $250K equipment improvements to $10M+ plant expansions, ensuring scope, budgets,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Capital project, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or process engineering experience.
• Experience with industrial equipment, piping, mechanical systems, or equipment installation.
• Strong project management, communication, and documentation skills.
• AutoCAD and 3D CAD experience; Inventor is a plus.
• P&IDs, PFDs, heat and mass balances, or structural design experience are valuable.
• Comfortable with approximately 20-30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Own capital projects from concept through installation and startup.
• Develop project scope, budgets, schedules, P&IDs, PFDs, equipment specifications, and heat and mass balances.
• Collaborate with operations, controls, electrical, CAD/design, construction teams, contractors, and equipment vendors.
• Be hands-on on the plant floor and oversee project execution from start to finish.
