Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Project Engineer/Manager to lead engineering and administrative functions on a major Bay Area project.

You will coordinate with field operations, supervise engineers, ensure safety and compliance, and manage information flow among design teams and subcontractors. A strong background in budgeting, GMP input, and preconstruction is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus minimum of eight (8) years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Large complex construction project experience with projects valued at $50M+ highly desired.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and cost control procedures, estimating, scheduling, purchasing and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise at a project level all engineering and administrative policies, procedures and functions.
• Coordinate with project field operations to ensure transfer of information is delivered, understood and implemented.
• Lead, supervise and develop Turner engineering staff and participate in performance appraisals.
• Ensure adherence to safety, ethics and compliance requirements at all times.
• Oversee communication among all project team members and with design professionals, consultants and subcontractors.
• Develop GMP/budget input with Preconstruction, Estimating and Purchasing; lead preconstruction efforts for Project Engineering.
