Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking an Entry-level Project Engineer to assist in engineering and administration of projects in the Bay Area Main division.

You will help process shop drawings, RFIs, change orders, and coordinate information across the project team, reporting to a Project Engineer.

A two-year college education and an Associates degree are expected, with strong teamwork, communication, and computer skills; salary ranges from 83,830 to 97,880 USD annually.

Qualifications

• Two years of college education from accredited degree program in Engineering, Construction, or relevant education
• Building construction, engineering, or equivalent experience, preferred
• Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team
• Demonstrate initiative and desire to learn
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing
• Proficient with computer applications, data entry, and Microsoft suite of applications
• Basic understanding of scheduling programs, desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist in processing shop drawings, product data, and samples and coordinate information flow across project team
• Assist in managing RFIs and communication across project team
• Assist in preparing estimates for changes in work and review Change Orders
• Study drawings and specs to ensure proper coordination and installation
• Assist in maintaining contract documents and project logs
• Distribute information to appropriate parties
• Assist in ensuring materials/equipment are released for fabrication on time
• Assist in preparing final project records and OM manuals
