Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Project Engineer in Waco, TX to lead complex system integration efforts on airborne platforms. You will drive program plans, risk management, and senior-level interfaces with customers and leadership to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of related experience or a graduate degree with 7+ years, and active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering leadership to a cross-functional team to resolve design and integration challenges.
Serve as the primary technical focal point for assigned programs, ensuring alignment with customer, regulatory, cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
Develop and manage project plans, technical baselines, work breakdown structures, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts.
Review and approve engineering deliverables, analyses, test plans, technical reports, interface documents, and design changes.
Drive resolution of complex engineering issues, root cause investigations, nonconformances, and corrective/preventive actions.
Lead design reviews, technical interchange meetings, and milestone reviews with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers.
