Job summary

AECOM Hunt in Dallas, TX is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Director to lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale sports stadium and arena projects as the General Contractor in the South Region. You will own safety, quality, cost, schedule, and stakeholder alignment from preconstruction through turnover.

You will build and mentor a high-performing team across preconstruction, field operations, estimating, VDC/BIM, safety, quality, and commissioning, while driving trade partner performance

Qualifications

• BS Engineering or Construction Management or related curriculum with 10 years of relevant construction experience or AA/AS 12 years of relevant experience or HS/GED with 14 years, plus 2 years of leadership.
• Experience with sports stadiums or arenas and large entertainment clients is preferred.
• Credentials: OSHA 30, PMP, DBIA, LEED AP, or PE license.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle delivery (feasibility, preconstruction, procurement, GMP development, construction, commissioning, closeout).
• Establish and manage project budget, schedule, and risk controls to meet or exceed commercial targets.
• Oversee procurement strategy, solicitations, bid leveling, trade partner selection, and contract negotiations.
• Direct field operations: work sequencing, logistics, site safety (OSHA compliance), quality assurance/quality control, and productivity.
• Monitor financial performance.
• Partner with owners, architects/engineers, owner’s reps, code officials, utilities, and community stakeholders to maintain alignment and approvals.
• Interact with VDC/BIM.
• Champion Safety-First culture.
• Ensure permitting, inspections, TCO/CO milestones, commissioning, performance testing, and turnover.
