Job summary

AECOM Hunt in Dallas, TX, is seeking an Electrical Preconstruction Manager to join our team for large venue and institutional projects. You will assist in early-project planning to define scope, schedule, cost, risk, and constructability for complex electrical systems.

You will partner with estimating, design teams, owners, and trades to develop budgets, phased schedules, procurement strategies, and detailed constructability plans that enable successful delivery.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering/Construction Management with 6 years of relevant construction experience (or equivalent).
• Experience on large commercial/institutional projects with significant electrical scope.
• Ability to develop CPM schedules and electrical cost models.
• Familiarity with electrical one-line diagrams and load calculations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in electrical preconstruction planning for multiple large projects through bid/award and into early mobilization.
• Develop initial and phased master schedules integrating milestones, procurement lead times, long-lead items, site logistics, and commissioning.
• Produce conceptual and detailed cost plans with estimators and identify cost drivers and VE opportunities.
• Assess constructability and develop mitigation plans for site constraints, phasing, MEP coordination and specialized systems.
• Create procurement strategies for long-lead electrical packages and coordinate prequalification and scope definition for trades.
• Produce logistics and sequencing plans addressing site access, laydown, MEP routing, phasing around occupied facilities, shutdowns, and temporary facilities.
• Prepare and present preconstruction reports and memos to senior leadership and owners.
• Support VE recommendations and detailed electrical constructability plans for successful project delivery.
