Job summary

AECOM Hunt is seeking a Construction Project Engineer based in Dallas, TX, with an expected start in May 2027. The role supports field activities, coordination of subcontractors, and adherence to plans and safety standards while interfacing with clients and design professionals to ensure satisfaction.

Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in a related field and experience with large projects, along with proficiency in MS Office and CM software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Building Technology, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting large complex projects.
• OSHA certification(s) preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Bluebeam; AutoCAD/Revit; CM software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing construction crafts/trades within an assigned area.
• Receive supervision and direction in performance of responsibilities.
• Receive direction from Superintendent or Project Manager.
• Assist with planning and coordination of subcontractor activities.
• Monitor subcontractor personnel for quality and adherence to plans.
• Enforce safety policies and procedures on site.
• Assist with document control systems and project management tools; update drawings, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes.
• Interface with client, architect, and design professionals to ensure design intent and client satisfaction.
• Contribute to communications between field management, project team, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Continually expand professional knowledge and training.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management,Building Technology, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering, or equivalent
