Job summary

HDR is seeking a Lead Project Coordinator in Sacramento to drive production operations, staff development and project control across multiple teams. You will support project managers, coordinate cross‑section work, and assist with contracts, invoices, and client interactions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of related experience, plus leadership ability and software proficiency (Newforma, Procore, ACC/Forma, Google Docs, Word, Excel).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support.
  • May function as an Assistant Project Manager and assist in production on projects.
  • Coordinate services with other sections and help with marketing planning.
  • Ensure work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management.
  • Prepare contracts and sub-contracts and coordinate meetings and presentations.
  • Exhibit professionalism with clients and work with multiple project teams.
  • Assist with or prepare project invoices as needed.

In the role of Lead Project Coordinator, we'll count on you to:
  • Assist in the responsibility for operations of production section including staff development, profitability, morale, quality control and marketing support
  • May function as an Assistant Project Manager and assist in responsibility for production on projects in addition to management responsibilities
  • Assist with administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections
  • Be involved in marketing planning and proposals
  • Assist in ensuring that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system
  • Implement, monitor and support company policy
  • Assist in the selection, training, development and management of project coordinator personnel
  • Compose, type, format, proofread, edit and organize documents, reports, specifications and correspondence
  • Create and maintain paper and electronic files
  • Order insurance and monitor insurance certificates
  • Assist with developing project guides, and provide information and support for project reviews
  • Apply company quality assurance guidelines and procedures for project document management
  • Prepare, organize and assist with contracts and sub‑contracts
  • Coordinate meetings and assist with presentations
  • Exhibit professionalism with clients
  • Work closely with multiple Project Managers and project teams
  • Assist with or prepare project invoices as needed
  • See that all work is planned, organized, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 7 years of related experience
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Good leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Proficiency in Newforma, Procore, ACC/Forma, Google Docs
