Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking a Project Control Specialist in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role oversees scheduling and cost control from development through close-out on strategic construction projects.

As the principal project controls expert, you will manage forecast accuracy, accruals, and contractual compliance while coordinating with project teams and finance. The position requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and experience with Primavera P6, Unifier, and UI Planner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business, technical, engineering, construction, project management or related area required.
• Lead resource on project controls items, including compliance with contractual terms.
• Experience with detailed project forecasting and cost performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with Project and Corporate teams on project execution.
• Acts as lead resource on project controls and contractual compliance.
• Provides training for contractual scheduling implementation.
• Prepares and maintains detailed project estimates and forecasts with risk, change orders, and contingencies.
• Coordinates with accounting/finance for project forecasting and accruals.
• Performs monthly accruals and journal entries.
• Performs detailed schedule reviews to ensure progress reflects contractual dates.
• Advises project team on performance concerns and recommended solutions.
• Monitors project risks and communicates issues to the team.
• Obtains action plans to support construction efforts.
• Performs quantity takeoffs to validate estimates and progress.
• Interacts with vendors/contractors to ensure data accuracy.
