Job summary

FedEx seeks an experienced leader to coordinate system requirements, program specs, and code/unit tests to meet business needs on major projects. You will guide test development, resolve complex production issues, and mentor less senior engineers.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years of IT/engineering experience with strong programming skills, IBM systems, LMS, and OO/case tool expertise. Expect on-site duties with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelors Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field.
Minimum Experience: Five (5) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in programming languages; strong communication; experience with IBM operating systems or microprocessors; LMS experience; client/server, OO development, or CASE tools; knowledge of software engineering principles.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and initiative in developing deliverables for additional levels of testing and test execution (system and integration tests).
Lead and/or assist in resolution of complex production problems.
Mentor development of those in less senior positions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
