Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a technical leader to design, develop, troubleshoot and debug highly complex software programs for enhancements and new products. The role emphasizes systems thinking, architecture guidance, and delivering robust solutions across the SDLC.

Responsibilities include leading complex problem resolution, prototyping with diverse technologies, and aligning with modern architectures and processes. Some travel and remote work are possible within the continental US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or equivalent, plus 5 years in IT/engineering
• Expertise in programming languages
• Strong understanding of software architecture, microservices and cloud platforms
• Strong leadership, communication and problem solving skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug highly complex software programs for enhancements and new products
• Ensure application of systems thinking principles enabling team members to independently design, code, test, and deploy software
• Provide necessary documentation to support the Software Development Life Cycle
• Develop prototypes and solutions leveraging a diverse range of technology
• Advise on modern architectures, methodologies, tools, and processes for new business capabilities
• Lead the resolution of highly complex problems
• Research and integrate emerging technologies to enhance capabilities and architecture
• comply with laws/regulations and company policies
• Perform other duties as required
