Job summary

OP RaaS is seeking a senior software engineer to lead design, development, debugging, and deployment of complex software for new products. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS/engineering or related field and at least five years of IT/engineering experience.

The position is remote, but the candidate must reside within 50 miles of a FedEx Freight location in the continental US. Strong programming, software architecture, and cloud experience are essential, with some travel expected.

Responsibilities

• Ensure application of systems thinking principles, allowing team members to independently design, code, test, and deploy software
• Provide necessary documentation to support the Software Development Life Cycle
• Develop prototypes and solutions leveraging a diverse range of technology
• Advise in the application of modern architectures, principles, methodologies, tools, and systemic processes to support the launch of new business capabilities
• Lead the resolution of highly complex problems
• Research and integrate emerging technologies to enhance application capabilities and overall system architecture
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
• Perform other duties as required

  This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting pay range in NJ. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay is determined by experience relative to the job, market level, specific location and other job-related factors permitted by law. Regular full & part-time employees (who complete 91 days of employment and work a minimum average of 12 hours per week) are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage, tuition reimbursement. Full/part-time employees who are age 21 are eligible for 401(k) after one month of employment.
