Job summary

FedEx Supply Chain is seeking a seasoned Advisor, Software Developer -- IIB to lead integration efforts for Sterling WMS components and related enterprise applications. You will design, code, test, and deploy software, mentoring junior engineers while adhering to SDLC standards.

You will work across MQ, IBM Integration Bus, ESQL, Java, EDI, Oracle, SOAP/REST, DataPower, API Connect, XML, SOA and ESB technologies to deliver new capabilities and resolve complex customer issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
8+ years of relevant experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Solid understanding of Java (1.4+), JSP, XML, HTML, JavaScript.
Experience with Oracle 9+; SQL/PLSQL.
Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and system docs.
Problem-solving mindset and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

Integrate, configure, and support Sterling WMS components and ensure reliable data flow between warehouse systems and enterprise apps.
Analyze Sterling WMS issues across inbound, outbound, and inventory workflows; perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
Encode, test, debug, and document complex software/programs.
Review, analyze, troubleshoot, and modify core and customized software.
Provide escalation support and consult on complex projects as a senior contributor.
