Job summary

New England Center and Home for Veterans seeks a Program Manager for the Low Threshold Programs to oversee day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and ensure 24/7 program coverage. The role includes clinical case management for a caseload of about five Veterans.

The position requires a Master’s in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling, 1–3 years supervisory experience, and strong skills in crisis intervention, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, and trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling.
• 1–3 years of supervisory/management experience.
• 2–3 years’ experience with substance use and mental health disorders.
• Strong crisis intervention experience and skills.
• Knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed and Person-Centered care models.
• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must maintain professional boundaries with colleagues, supervisees, and participants.

Responsibilities

• Program Coordination: Hire, onboard, train and supervise Low Threshold team members and coordinate 24/7 program coverage.
• Provide direct clinical case management to a caseload of approximately 5 Veterans in Low Threshold Programs.
• Intervene in clinical emergencies and crises; collaborate with VA GPD liaisons and NECHV programs.
• Develop, maintain and update referral sources; ensure access for team members.
• May supervise overnight/weekend crisis interventions and document appropriately.
