Job summary

Socket.dev in Boston oversees the Low Threshold Programs, including Low Demand and Safe Haven, serving veterans with homelessness and mental health or substance use disorders. The Program Manager will supervise a small support team and ensure 24/7 program coverage, reporting to the Program Director, Low Threshold Programs, and will be considered essential staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating recruitment and training, providing crisis intervention when needed, collaborating with VA

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling is required.
Two to three years of supervisory and management experience.
Two to three years’ experience working with substance use and mental health disorders.
Strong crisis intervention skills and knowledge of Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction, Trauma-Informed and Person-Centered care.

Responsibilities

Program Coordination: hire, onboard, train and supervise Low Threshold team members and coordinate 24/7 program coverage.
Provide ongoing supervision to support staff and coaching on models of care.
Maintain a list of referral sources for easy access and collaborate with VA liaisons and NECHV programs.
Perform other duties as needed and as assigned.
Clinical Case Management: maintain a caseload of 5 resident Veterans and provide counseling using evidence-based approaches.
