Job summary

GitLab is seeking an Intermediate Professional Services Technical Architect to drive the technical direction of customer engagements from scoping to delivery. You will design high-level architectures for GitLab infrastructure and ensure deliverables meet customer requirements across cloud and on-prem environments.

You will coordinate with Professional Services and partners, support migrations using Terraform, Ansible, and GET, and contribute to reusable collateral, documentation, and training

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for leading technical discussions with customers and partners.
• Ability to articulate risks, trade-offs, and solutions in an asynchronous environment.
• Experience translating requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.

Responsibilities

• Design reference architectures for self-managed and cloud deployments using IaC practices.
• Lead migrations of source code management and CI/CD to GitLab, including large enterprise moves.
• Create repeatable delivery kits, documentation, and enablement materials for PS and partners.
• Oversee end-to-end technical delivery lifecycle from scoping to handoff for engagements.
• Develop high-level and detailed designs ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
• Evaluate scalability and security considerations in proposed architectures.
