Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking an experienced Production Technician Supervisor to lead a diverse team of production technicians and welders in building electromechanical parts. You will drive production plans, organize daily workflows, and oversee safety and quality across the shop floor.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a formal manufacturing leadership role and 10+ years in varied technical skills (mechanical, electrical, vacuum, cryogenics).

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a formal leadership role in a manufacturing setting.
• 10+ years of experience with mechanical/electrical assembly, plumbing, vacuum and cryogenic systems, soldering and wiring.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and reports; familiarity with 3D CAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hire and supervise a team of production technicians and welders to build electromechanical parts.
• Execute production plans, priorities, and schedules from manufacturing management and planning.
• Organize daily task lists and workflow by assigning responsibilities.
• Lead cross-functional stand‑up meetings focusing on quality, cost, and delivery; write updates and reports.
• Establish safety plans with EHSS and keep the work area clean and compliant.
• Run training programs for key team skills and processes.
• Manage timecards and conduct biannual reviews; partner with HR on personnel issues.
• Perform R&D and prototype hardware builds with minimal oversight and documentation.
