Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Lead Production Technician to guide a fast-paced, hands-on team building electromechanical parts and assemblies for fusion devices. You will drive quality, schedule adherence, and continuous improvement in a multi-disciplinary environment.

The role requires leadership experience in manufacturing, strong safety focus, and the ability to work the Weekday third shift (Mon-Fri, 10 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.) with a 15% differential on hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years in a formal leadership role in manufacturing.
• Minimum 6 years in mechanical, electrical, and other electromechanical assembly.
• Commitment to safety and quality with clear team communication.
• Ability to lead and direct a team and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Hire, lead, and train technicians and welders to build electromechanical parts.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to develop new processes.
• Assemble hardware according to procedures and test instructions.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing discrepancies with a focus on improvement.
• Use torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, and other tools.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness in the work area.
• Provide feedback during performance reviews.
• Perform related duties as needed.
