Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, a CRH company, is hiring a Production Supervisor for our Endicott, NY plant. You will lead a ~30-person team on a C shift (noon-midnight 2-2-3) to meet productivity, safety, and quality goals, driving continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.

You will hire, schedule, coach, and discipline staff; conduct quarterly/annual reviews; and coordinate with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance to reduce costs and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of supervisory experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical skills such as calculating percentages and volumes.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a safe workplace is maintained and there is a safety mindset in all things we do.
• Follows and ensures others follow all policies, standards, and safety requirements defined by the company.
• Drives safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards.
• Hires, schedules, and supervises full time staff and additional temporary staff.
• Coaches and gives corrective feedback timely; administers disciplinary processes up to termination as necessary.
• Performs timely quarterly and annual reviews for all team members.
• Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development, problem-solving and resolution.
• Oversees process documentation and training ensuring safety and cleanliness.
• Ensures a quality product and adherence to quality processes.
• Works with Quality Control, Engineering, and Maintenance to improve quality and efficiency.
• Tracks productivity and operates at or below budget using lean manufacturing and cross training.
• Oversees inventory control procedures to maintain accuracy.
• Assist with troubleshooting and solving production issues.
• Demonstrated leadership in safety & environmental compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to coach, develop and build a strong team of employees.
• Strong listening and clear communication skills; resolve conflicts.
• Ability to work with cross functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
