Qualifications

• Two years of college plus 3-5 years of experience as a supervisor in a lettershop environment or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate with all levels in a culturally diverse work environment.
• Ability to motivate personnel to perform at a quality level, yet be able to discipline as necessary in a consistent and fair approach.

Responsibilities

• Achieve production standards with expected quality daily.
• Monitor production and communicate delays to the shift manager; take action to alleviate delays.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed; perform safety checks and report injuries.
• Ensure proper staffing and communicate needs; manage overtime ratios and leave requests.
• Train and evaluate new and temporary employees; report training and performance results.
• Prepare department for next shift, including machine setups; maintain cleanliness and supplies.
• Coordinate with data center on hot jobs and ensure bindery needs are met.
• Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data and comply with company rules.
