Job summary

Focus is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations on the production floor in a high-volume, high-mix metal fabrication environment. You will lead hourly teams, execute schedules, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing with Lean knowledge and SAP reporting experience, plus strong leadership and bilingual skills (English/Spanish).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience required.
• Prior supervisory experience in a high-volume, high-mix environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
• Experience with production reporting systems (SAP preferred).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
• Execute production schedules as directed by the Production Superintendent.
• Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and equipment utilization to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote accountability and safe practices.
• Maintain quality by monitoring output and addressing defects or deviations.
• Identify production issues and elevate concerns to the Production Superintendent.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including waste reduction and efficiency gains.
• Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve challenges.
• Train, coach, and develop hourly employees to improve performance and engagement.
• Manage attendance, timekeeping, job assignments, and shift coverage.
• Conduct performance discussions and provide input on disciplinary actions.
• Maintain accurate production reports and documentation.
• Ensure policies and procedures are consistently enforced.
