Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead a production team in the efficient and safe manufacture of corrugated products at our site in Greensboro, NC.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, strong coaching and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work flexible hours. A high school diploma or GED is required, with some college coursework preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years' supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in coaching, training, teambuilding, performance development, and conflict resolution.
• Able to work flexible hours as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily/weekly production schedules with the production manager to meet production goals.
• Oversee employees, approve time records, communicate and implement company policy.
• Maintain a clean, safe and injury-free work environment and enforce health procedures.
• Train employees on equipment, protocols, production standards, safety regulations and waste control.
• Analyze production performance and identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements.
• Participate in production meetings and provide updates; arrange materials or repairs as needed.
