Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the corrugated packing department. You will manage production targets, mentor team members, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on the shift.

The role requires 3+ years of supervisory experience in corrugated manufacturing, a high school diploma or GED, and lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business Management, Engineering or Operations Management).
• 3+ years of corrugated container supervisory experience.
• Lean environment experience; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Proven problem-solving ability and teamwork.
• Ability to coach and train employees.

Responsibilities

• Manage manufacturing employees, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Improve safety, environmental, and health standards for the facility.
• Oversee day-to-day shift operations focusing on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Monitor production activities to meet schedules and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with teams to improve efficiency and reduce downtime and overtime.
• Allocate resources and ensure proper use of labor, tools, and equipment.
• Lead safety briefs and maintain safe workplace practices.
