Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead a production team in corrugated product manufacturing, focusing on safety and efficiency.

You will plan daily and weekly schedules, supervise employees, train staff, enforce policies, and drive continuous improvement in equipment and processes.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing; corrugated packaging experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years' supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience in coaching, training, teambuilding, performance development, and conflict resolution.
• Able to work flexible hours as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily and weekly production schedules to meet goals and minimize downtime.
• Direct oversight of employees, approve time records, and enforce company policy.
• Lead employee development, hiring recommendations, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and ensure safety procedures.
• Train employees on equipment, production standards, safety regulations, and waste control.
• Analyze production performance and identify process or equipment improvements.
• Oversee operation of equipment and inspect materials and products for quality.
• Participate in production meetings and communicate updates.
• Request materials, supplies, equipment parts, or repair services as needed.
