Job summary

KIK Consumer Products, a leading consumer goods manufacturer, seeks a Production Supervisor for its Salem, VA facility. The role oversees the filling department, drives safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and leads a hands-on, continuous-improvement culture.

You will coach 1st Shift Leads and ~25 employees, monitor production metrics, and ensure compliance with GMP and 6S standards while supporting cost reduction and process reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced production environment with focus on safety, quality, and performance metrics.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), deviation management, corrective actions, and audit readiness.
• GMP, safety programs, and 6S/lean workplace standards; experience conducting safety training.
• Results-driven with a track record of improving efficiency and reducing downtime.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily filling line operations to achieve production targets while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Supervise and develop 1st Shift Leads and ~25 production employees; drive accountability and performance.
• Monitor metrics like output, yields, downtime, waste, and labor efficiency; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, GMP standards, sanitation, and regulatory expectations.
• Conduct shift kick-off meetings and coordinate communication across Production, QA, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and HR.
• Optimize staffing based on demand and schedules; drive Lean improvement initiatives.
• Maintain inspection-ready conditions, housekeeping, documentation, and quality standards.
