Job summary

KIK Consumer Products is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the daily filling department, drive safety and quality, and oversee a 1st shift of about 25 employees. You will manage line performance, coach staff, and optimize staffing to meet production targets.

The role emphasizes Lean initiatives, adherence to GMP standards, and continuous improvement while maintaining on-time delivery and cost objectives at our Salem, AL facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience leading teams in fast-paced production with focus on safety, quality, and performance metrics.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, safety programs, and 6S/lean practices; experience training and ensuring compliance.
• Proficiency with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and documentation control.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily filling line operations to meet production schedules while achieving safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Supervise, coach, and develop 1st Shift Leads and ~25 production employees; drive accountability and performance.
• Monitor production metrics (output, yields, downtime, waste, labor efficiency) and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, GMP, sanitation, and regulatory expectations.
• Conduct shift kick-off meetings and coordinate cross-functional priorities across Production, QA, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and HR.
• Optimize staffing based on demand and schedule priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean or similar methodologies to reduce downtime and costs.
• Maintain inspection-ready conditions with proper housekeeping and quality documentation.
• Oversee production documents (work orders, timecards, quality checks) and training/safety programs.
