Job summary

The Atlanta Opera is seeking a Production Stage Manager (PSM) to be the primary communicator for production needs. The PSM will call the shows, supervise the stage management team, coordinate with the DOP/DOAA, gather information, and manage rehearsal and performance notes throughout the season.

Responsibilities include scheduling rehearsals, cuing, coordinating with designers and staff, and ensuring timely delivery of schedules, reports, and archival documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in theater or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as a Stage Manager.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Call shows and supervise the stage management department.
• Coordinate rehearsal and performance needs with DOP/DOAA.
• Create and distribute rehearsal schedules and notes.
• Manage room readiness, fittings, and inventories.
