Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Melissa, TX, is seeking a skilled intermediate assembler/production operator to support fabrication and loading operations. You’ll work with rebar fabrication equipment, follow safety rules, and help maintain a clean, efficient work area.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Read and follow technical documents and manuals.
• Ability to write job instructional training documents.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition.
• Mentor and train team members on proper equipment use.
• Operate production machines in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
• Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold CMC Safety Culture.
• Serve as leadman in absence, as necessary.
• Operate rebar fabrication equipment (shears, benders, cranes, forklift, etc.).
