Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Houston, TX, is seeking a team-oriented associate to support fabrication operations and loading/unloading of rebar. This role offers hands-on training with fabrication equipment and a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will train on equipment, follow OSHA safety policies, and work overtime when needed to maintain production. A high school diploma and ability to read technical documents are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read technical documents and service manuals.
• Able to cross-train as needed.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Attend training regarding applicable equipment.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
• Assist in loading fabricated rebar on trailers and unloading stock material from trailers.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Operate production machines as per established procedures.
• Participate in CMC Safety Programs and uphold Safety Culture.
• Operate fabrication equipment (shears, benders, cranes, forklift, threaders, forging, welders).
