Job summary

Commercial Metals Company in Texas is seeking a production-oriented associate to maintain clean work areas, operate heavy equipment, and participate in safety programs. The role involves lifting up to 50 lbs and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment with multitasking and attention to detail.
• Minimum 1 year experience in either recycling and/or manufacturing environment preferred
• Previous experience operating forklift, skid steer, loader or similar equipment
• Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus
• Must be able to perform the physical task of the job assigned; to include climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows safety regulations
• Operates production equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
• Participates in the CMC Safety Programs and proactively upholds the CMC Safety Culture
• Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Assist in unloading and loading of material for customers
• Attend all safety meetings
• Be responsible for good housekeeping of every area you are required to work
• Operate equipment in a highly active environment safely with high awareness of surroundings
