Job summary

ALCOM is seeking a Manufacturing Production Manager to oversee trailer fabrication and assembly operations at our Sioux Falls facility. You will lead supervisors and teams, coordinate welding, fabrication, decals, and final assembly, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency to meet production goals.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, plus 5 years of leadership in metal fabrication or trailer manufacturing, with a proven track record in lean

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing or related field.
• Leadership experience in metal fabrication or trailer manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage daily trailer fabrication and assembly operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives.
• Lead and coach supervisors, team leads, and production employees to achieve targets.
• Coordinate welding, fabrication, decals and final assembly departments to maintain flow.
• Monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Champion safety initiatives per OSHA and company standards.
• Ensure work meets engineering and customer specifications.
• Drive lean, 5S, and continuous improvement to increase throughput and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to minimize downtime and support equipment reliability.
• Partner with HR to support staffing, training, and performance management.
• Prepare and present daily/weekly production reports to senior leadership.
