Job summary

ALCOM is seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor to oversee daily trailer production at our Sioux Falls facility. You will ensure schedules are met, quality is maintained, and safety procedures are followed, while guiding a skilled production team and coordinating with engineering, maintenance, and quality departments.

The role emphasizes lean initiatives, continuous improvement, and record-keeping of performance, labor hours, and materials usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing supervision experience.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills under pressure.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and production management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and motivate production staff to meet safety, quality, productivity and delivery goals.
• Oversee daily trailer manufacturing operations to company standards.
• Schedule and monitor workflow to hit targets and deadlines.
• Monitor product quality and adherence to specs and customer requirements.
• Promote and enforce OSHA safety policies.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain records of production performance, labor hours, and materials usage.
• Conduct performance evaluations and coach employees.
• Address employee concerns and uphold company values.
