Job summary

ALCOM is seeking a Manufacturing Production Supervisor for its Sioux Falls facility. You will oversee daily trailer production, ensure schedules, quality, and safety standards are met, and lead a hands-on team to achieve goals.

You will coordinate with engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain, drive continuous improvement, and maintain production records. A strong background in manufacturing leadership and problem-solving is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to coach and mentor employees.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills; able to make sound decisions under pressure.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Production Supervisor will oversee daily trailer production operations at Alcom’s Sioux Falls facility. This role is responsible for ensuring production schedules are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety procedures are followed. The Supervisor will lead and support production team members, coordinate with other departments, and drive continuous improvement to meet company goals.

Functions and Responsibilities

• Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and assist in employee development.

Desired Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or production supervision experience, preferably in trailer or metal fabrication industries.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to coach and mentor employees.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and quality control practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and production management systems.
