Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 10 years leading manufacturing teams OR a Bachelor's degree with 6 years of related experience.
• Willingness to work any shift including some weekends.
• Ability to ensure quality and efficiency of the department.
• Experience with MS Word and MS Office.
• Experience with Composite Materials, Machining or Dial Assembly equipment.
• Eligible to obtain a DoD Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment and maintain production standards.
• Provide direction and motivate employees per established practices.
• Interpret and communicate written and verbal instructions.
• Interpret, execute and modify practices affecting direct reports.
• Oversee routine and non-routine manufacturing tasks.
• Support engineering staff in operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering on equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Review results for timeliness, quality and cost effectiveness.
• Schedule work, train direct reports, and control processes within cost parameters.
• Administer and comply with union contracts; train new employees and processes.
• Ensure overall department quality and efficiency; manage Medium Cal and/or Composites Operations.
• Participate in recruiting and hiring processes.
