Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team at the Allegany Ballistics Laboratory site in Rocket Center, WV. The role focuses on directing manufacturing operations, ensuring a safe work environment, coaching staff, and coordinating with maintenance and engineering to keep equipment running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with extensive supervisory experience or a technical/management degree with related experience, and is eligible

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 10 years’ lead/supervisor experience in manufacturing OR a Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience.
• Ability to work any shift including weekends.
• Ability to provide sound judgment to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and MS Office.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic equipment.
• U.S. Citizenship required; DoD clearance eligible.
• Flexible with work assignments.
• Proactive safety attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment at all times.
• Provide direction and motivate employees per established practices.
• Interpret and apply written and verbal instructions.
• Lead and train direct reports; schedule work within cost parameters.
• Support engineering staff in operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
• Work with maintenance and engineering in running and troubleshooting equipment.
• Review results for timeliness, quality, and cost effectiveness.
