Job summary

Orbia Polymer Solutions Vestolit in Illinois seeks a seasoned operations leader to provide day-to-day leadership to dryer and packaging teams, ensuring safety, productivity and reliability while meeting quality standards.

You will drive safety initiatives, improve OEE, lead small projects, develop CAPEX plans, and collaborate with maintenance, process engineers and logistics to resolve issues and optimize equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering (or related field).
• 5+ years manufacturing experience in a chemical environment.
• 5+ years supervisory/leadership experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate with focus on safety and environmental compliance.
• Evaluate and implement technology and process improvements to meet objectives.
• Support process engineers with SOPs, product development, and OEE improvements.
• Lead small projects to improve drying and packaging operations.
• Develop capital plans and CAPEX estimates for improvements.
• Serve as project manager or plant liaison for improvements.
• Coordinate with logistics, manufacturing, and tech service to address customer complaints.
• Participate in safety, health, and environmental improvement initiatives.
• Ensure safe procedures and preventive maintenance are performed.
