Job summary

Codinix Consulting Services is seeking a seasoned Product Owner for a sanctions screening and payments platform in New York. You will own the product vision, roadmap, and delivery in a regulated financial services environment, partnering with Compliance, Risk, and Engineering teams to reduce false positives and improve auditability.

You will translate regulatory requirements into epics, manage the backlog, and ensure end-to-end delivery across payment types and screening workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Owner roles within banking, financial services, payments, or FinTech.
• Mandatory: Hands-on experience with Sanctions Screening / Sanctions Compliance.
• Strong understanding of payment sanctions screening and financial crime compliance processes.
• Experience with sanctions screening for payments, clients/customers, counterparties, or trade-related activities.
• Strong understanding of payment processing and payment lifecycle concepts.
• Experience with SWIFT and/or ISO 20022 payment messaging.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, backlog management, and delivering product outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain product vision and strategy for sanctions screening and payments platform.
• Develop and manage an outcome-focused roadmap aligned with regulatory requirements and risk priorities.
• Prioritize capabilities using data-driven analysis and risk-weighted business value.
• Translate requirements into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog and lead backlog refinement and releases.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, Engineering, Data, and Technology teams.
• Ensure auditability, traceability, and regulatory reporting within product capabilities.
