Job summary

Takeda seeks a Technical Product Owner for AI-native small molecule discovery within the Labs of Tomorrow program. You will lead technical delivery and architecture for discovery software, translating scientific goals into executable plans and managing cross-functional teams.

The role requires 8+ years in software product ownership in pharma/biotech R&D, with expertise in AI/ML, cloud platforms, and medicinal chemistry workflows. Hybrid Boston location with collaboration across partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemistry, Computational Chemistry, or related fields.
• 8+ years in software product ownership or engineering within pharma/biotech R&D.
• Knowledge of medicinal chemistry workflows, AI/ML systems, cloud/data platforms.
• Experience translating scientific needs into technical specs.
• Stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage backlog and develop technical roadmaps.
• Translate scientific/business goals into executable plans.
• Oversee integration with lab workflows and other platforms.
• Partner with Business Lead in a joint leadership model.
• Ensure solutions are scalable and aligned with AI-enabled workflows.
• Manage technical risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with external tech partners.
