Job summary

Takeda seeks a Technical Product Owner for AI-native Large Molecule Discovery to translate scientific visions into a robust development roadmap and oversee engineering execution within the Labs of Tomorrow program.

You will own the product backlog, define architecture direction, and coordinate with engineers, data scientists, and biologists, while managing external partners to align solutions with laboratory workflows and ensure delivery quality.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in pharma/biotech software product ownership or PM roles.
• Strong biology fluency and experience with scientific software platforms, cloud AI/ML systems.
• Bachelor's or Master's in biology, computational biology, or related field.

Role: Technical Product Owner for AI-native Large Molecule Discovery, responsible for translating scientific visions into a technically robust development roadmap and overseeing engineering execution within Takeda's Labs of Tomorrow program.

Responsibilities

own the product backlog, set architecture direction, coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineers, data scientists, and biologists; manage external partners; ensure solutions align with laboratory workflows; and supervise delivery quality, performance, and technical integrity.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's in Biology, Computational Biology, Chemical Engineering, or related field; 8+ years in software product ownership, technical program management, or engineering leadership within pharma/biotech R&D; strong biological fluency and experience in scientific software platforms, cloud architecture, and AI/ML systems.

Preferred

experience with scientific data standards, laboratory automation, bioinformatics tools, or AI discovery applications; certifications in Agile/Scrum.
