Job summary

PayPal is seeking a Lead Product Manager to own strategy, roadmap, and execution for a core platform pillar in risk decisioning. You will work with engineering, data science, risk strategy, and UX to build scalable real-time solutions and drive metrics-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in scaled platforms such as recommendation engines or ML/AI infra, with experience across fraud, credit, and compliance. This is a hybrid role based in San Jose.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience building or managing products in decisioning or real-time scoring.
• Familiarity with feature stores and real-time inference pipelines.
• Track record of driving platform adoption across internal teams.
• Strong data intuition to define and interpret platform metrics.

Responsibilities

• Drives product strategy with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Plans and implements architectural roadmap balancing design, technical execution, regulatory requirements, time-to-market, and profitability.
• Assesses customer experience and needs in product requirements and decisions.
• Sets up data gathering mechanisms to measure success metrics.
• Leads analytics, customer discovery, market research and data-driven decisions.
• Oversees product profitability measures, including budget.
• Interfaces with leadership as needed and collaborates with teams.
• Maximizes efficiency in a fluid, creative environment.
