Job summary

Keysight Technologies in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking a Product Engineering Manager to lead a team of Product Engineers responsible for end‑to‑end mechanical product families. You will drive yield targets, ensure conformance to drawings and AS9100/ISO 9001, and partner with operations and R&D to balance quality, delivery, and cost.

You will also guide escalation processes, develop capability, and provide DFM/inspection feedback to R&D while reporting risks to PMTC leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in precision machining or precision mechanical component manufacturing in a product, quality, manufacturing or sustaining engineering role, including 3+ years leading engineers or technical teams.
• Proven ability to hire, develop and retain engineers, set priorities, and hold a team accountable for results.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and how machined features are measured (CMM, optical, surface profilometry). Read drawings and verify inspection plans.
• Hands-on problem solving: 8D, RCCA, DMAIC, FMEA; ability to use yield and SPC data in Excel, Power BI, Minitab or JMP.
• Customer-facing communication: presented quality events and recovery plans to customers and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach and develop a team of Product Engineers; set goals and assign product families.
• Define collaboration boundaries with Process and Integration Engineering; establish handoff criteria.
• Own yield and cost-of-poor-quality targets; review losses and drive RCCA closure.
• Lead cross-functional escalation for quality events and delivery risk.
