Job summary

STR seeks a Lead Product Engineer in the Mission Applications Group to bridge product ideas and operational mission applications. You will oversee the entire lifecycle of a product, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost targets are met, while collaborating with Product, Platform, Mission Engineers and system architects.

You will own software solutions, build features for production with emphasis on simplicity, reliability, and user experience, and help scale prototypes into deployed,

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or equivalent eligibility.
• BS in Computer Science or related field with at least 5 years of experience.
• Experience building high-quality production software features.
• Strong UX sensibilities and attention to design details.
• Proficiency with React, TypeScript, and Python.

Responsibilities

• Own software solutions to solve operational problems in production.
• Build and test features with emphasis on simplicity, reliability and user experience.
• Bridge concept and production, scale prototypes into deployed solutions.
• Identify root causes, triage issues, and drive timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with Product, Platform, Mission Engineers and system architects to meet user needs.
• Foster collaboration between software functionality, UX, and enabling technology.
• Deliver viable solutions on timelines that work for customer and STR.
