Job summary

STR's Mission Applications Group within the Analytics and Command & Control Division is seeking a DevOps Engineer to lead software teams in designing, developing, and maintaining infrastructure and tooling to deploy software in operational use.

You will build and optimize CI/CD pipelines across diverse environments, partner with DoD IT to ensure compliance, and coach teammates on DevOps best practices to deliver high quality, reliable software.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or related field with at least 5 years of work experience.
Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab) and pipeline automation.
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and automated provisioning tools (Ansible or Chef).
Containerization with Docker/Podman.
Kubernetes management (EKS and Rancher).
Experience deploying and monitoring Kubernetes clusters and pod configurations.
Basic knowledge of Linux System Administration.
Knowledge of Python and Linux Shell.
Knowledge of Cyber Security fundamentals.
Located in the United States or willing to relocate to supported locations.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure and tooling to deploy software in operational use.
Lead Agile software teams and implement CI/CD pipelines for multiple deployment environments.
Coach team members on DevOps best practices and continuously improve processes.
Coordinate with corporate IT to ensure toolsets are compliant with DoD standards.
