Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation is seeking an experienced Product Manager for Custom Engineering Applications to own the strategic portfolio of internal engineering tools and platforms. You will drive intake, prioritization, and governance to ensure value, security, and scalability across a global workforce of engineers.

The role requires deep understanding of engineering workflows, data lifecycles, and platform integrations, while collaborating across architecture, cybersecurity, and business

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product management, digital platforms, or complex application portfolios.
• Demonstrated experience implementing structured intake, prioritization, and portfolio rationalization approaches.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the portfolio intake process for custom and hybrid engineering applications, ensuring requests are framed as problems.
• Establish intake criteria, qualification thresholds, and decision artifacts aligned to DPOM practices.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and business leaders to shape demand early.
• Design and operate a quantitative prioritization model balancing business value, risk, technical debt and strategy.
• Facilitate portfolio-level reviews and governance rituals to support decision making and funding conversations.
• Define and socialize a target future-state portfolio with migration and modernization paths.
