Job summary

HighLevel is seeking a Lead Product Designer who can elevate product experiences through craft, vision, systems thinking and influence. You have 7+ years designing complex digital products, ideally SaaS/B2B, and are ready to shape direction, standards and team culture across one or more pillars.

As a lead IC, you will partner with product and engineering leaders, mentor designers and help teams translate customer needs, business goals and technical constraints into clear, useful and polished

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product design experience with 2+ years in a leadership or design direction capacity, preferably SaaS/B2B.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating systematic thinking, customer empathy, exceptional craft and leadership beyond execution.
• Proven experience leading data-informed product design across the full lifecycle, including research, IA, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, content strategy and usability testing.
• Exceptional visual and interaction design craft with emphasis on hierarchy, layout, typography, grids, spacing, motion, usability and accessibility.
• Experience designing for AI-driven or intelligent interfaces, including collaboration with ML, data, automation or platform teams.
• Deep fluency in design systems, accessibility standards, reusable patterns and scalable product decisions.
• Experience influencing design direction for high-impact product areas, systems or pillars, not just isolated features.
• Strong cross-functional leadership with product managers, engineers, data partners and other stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and facilitation, able to lead critiques and workshops and persuade with rationale and craft.
• Passion for improving team operations, design standards, processes and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design strategy and execution for one or more product pillars from discovery through delivery.
• Translate customer needs, business goals, product strategy and technical constraints into clear experience direction and roadmaps.
• Partner with product and engineering leaders to define product vision and align teams around high-quality outcomes.
• Influence leadership decisions through customer empathy, data synthesis, product judgment and storytelling.
• Drive design quality reviews and set standards for usability, accessibility and design system alignment.
• Raise the quality of multiple teams by mentoring designers and improving critique and patterns adoption.
• Define and socialize metrics for design quality and impact.
• Lead complex discovery and design efforts through ambiguity, synthesizing inputs and guiding decisions.
