Job Description: Lead Product Designer

As a Lead Product Designer, you will contribute to the design direction for initiatives by partnering closely with product and engineering teams. An in-depth understanding of how different browsers and OS platforms work is essential, along with a focus on enhancing the overall product experience through visual and interaction design.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with designers, product, and engineering teams to research product usage, identify opportunities, define design approaches, and create elegant solutions to complex problems.
2. Contribute to design standardization, documentation, and processes within your team.
3. Implement product strategy and vision by creating storyboards, user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design ideas effectively.
4. Make a significant impact on the products you work on.
5. Maintain consistency across products through defined practices.
6. Participate in activities to develop the design culture at BrowserStack and expand the Design@BrowserStack community.
7. Support and mentor other designers to help them deliver excellent work and develop their skills.

Qualifications:

• 6-7+ years of experience in Interaction Design, UI/UX, or Product Design, with a strong portfolio.
• Experience working on SaaS products and leading mid to large-scale design efforts.
• Experience collaborating with international teams.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design or Computer Science is advantageous.

Ideal Candidate Attributes:

• Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomously in an agile environment.
• Leverages insights like market analysis, customer feedback, and usability metrics for informed decision-making.
• Proficient with UI and prototyping tools such as Figma, Principle, Adobe CS, HTML/CSS.
• Skilled at breaking down complex problems and communicating design decisions effectively.
• Passionate about deep tech, with hands-on engineering experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented with a good sense of typography and visual design.
• Proactive, self-motivated, humorous, eager to learn, and enjoys mentoring others.
