Job summary

Roskam Foods is seeking a production team member at its Grand Rapids area facility to support line operations, maintain food safety standards, and ensure smooth packaging runs. You will work with a variety of equipment and collaborate with Foreman and Quality Technicians to uphold GMP and HACCP requirements.

Responsibilities include operating fillers, sealers, end-of-line equipment, and inspection tools; maintaining documentation and participating in on-the-job training for peers.

Qualifications

• Basic training in GMP/HACCP and HACCP CCPs for the line they are working on.
• Follow all SOP/SSOPs and be an example for all employees.
• Train new/current employees on all equipment with oversight from Foreman/Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Follow all elements of Food Safety to ensure GMP, HACCP and proper packaging standards are met.
• Be trained in HACCP and know designated CCPs for the line.
• Acknowledge, understand, and follow GMP principles at all times.
• Perform tasks designated by line Foreman.
• Operate checkweigher and metal detectors & X-Ray machines.
• Understand machine operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Complete all required paperwork for their line with assistance from Foreman, Supervisor and Quality Tech.
• Ensure the machine is clean and inspect all equipment before and after product run.
• Communicate clearly with Production leadership and other departments.
• Be flexible with schedule and available as needed.
• Train others on equipment with Foreman/Supervisor oversight.
