Job summary

Roskam Foods is seeking a Production Operator to support daily manufacturing of frozen, refrigerated, and shelf-stable products at our Grand Rapids facility. You will follow GMP, HACCP principles, complete required line paperwork, and operate equipment such as fillers, sealers, end-of-line packaging, and case erectors under supervision.

Flexibility with schedule and collaboration with Foreman and Quality teams are essential as you help maintain product safety, quality, and efficient production

Qualifications

• Must follow GMP and SSOPs.
• Trained in HACCP principles.

Responsibilities

• Follow all elements of Food Safety to ensure GMP, HACCP and proper packaging standards are met.
• Understand designated CCPs for the line they are working on.
• Acknowledge, understand, and follow GMP principles at all times.
• Lead tasks designated by line Foreman.
• Properly use checkweigher and metal detectors & X-Ray Machines.
• Understand how the machine works and basic troubleshooting techniques.
• Complete required line paperwork with Foreman, Supervisor and Quality Tech.
• Ensure equipment is clean and inspected before/after product run.
• Communicate clearly with Production leadership and other departments.
• Be flexible with schedule and available as needed.
• Train new/current employees on equipment with oversight.
• Proficient in running jobs/equipment including Filler, Sealer, End of Line, Stacker, Scanner, Mixer/Oil Operator, SSK Filler, SSK Unloader, Cartoners, Case Erectors, Wrappers, Baggers, Enrobers, Batching Equipment and Hilo operation.
