Job summary

Countrymark-Refining-and-Logistic is seeking a Process Safety Engineer in Mount Vernon, IN to lead senior process safety activities within the engineering team. The role focuses on evaluations for MOC’s and projects, flare system ownership, PSV database management, and LOPA SME duties.

You will guide design reviews, support PSM audits, and mentor staff while aligning with industry standards and company safety goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of oil and gas experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Understanding of process safety principles.
• Proficient with MS Office and engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior process safety engineering for facility design, process safety evaluations, MOC’s and projects.
• Manage flare system including PSV database and process oversight.
• Act as SME for LOPA analysis and PHA/PSM audits.
• Lead engineering projects with strong cross-functional coordination.
• Mentor junior engineers and train operations/maintenance staff on process safety.
