Job summary

Qnity’s Silicon Valley Technology Center (SVTC) is seeking a highly skilled Lead Process Engineer to join our leveraged R&D organization, delivering customer-facing applications in thermal engineering and fabrication methods for advanced electronics.

The successful candidate will become the local SME in thermal engineering, lead cross-functional project teams, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with Silicon Valley OEMs to translate research into scalable commercial solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of directly applicable engineering work experience.
• Proficiency with design and modeling software: Anysis, Comsol, SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
• Experience with characterization tools and methods.
• Willing to travel up to 20% to support customer projects.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project-management skills.
• Familiar with Agile, Stage Gate, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead applications development projects related to process engineering for local customers.
• Drive customer solutions from concept to commercialization.
• Collaborate with SMEs to form a close-knit engineering team.
• Respond to changing priorities as customer needs evolve.
• Engage with Silicon Valley customers to understand their needs.
• Represent SVTC in industry events and conferences.
• Deliver technical training and mentor junior engineers.
